One Response to “Updated Blood Drive Coverage”

  1. The latent time between someone contracting HIV and our being able to detect it with our current screening tests is 10 days. Gay men, who are at increased risk of contracting HIV,are prohibited from donating blood solely because of this gap in the detection process. Would you be willing to not “discriminate” against gay men and instead get AIDS from a blood transfusion? I wouldn’t.
